Road map & description

This is how you find The Eight Seasons from different places in Sweden:

With car from Stockholm
The closest and best way if you're travelling from Stockholm is to take the E4 pass Gävle and thereafter turn left into road 83 to Bollnäs. In Bollnäs you continue to follow road 83 towards Ljusdal. In Ljusdal you take left in to road 84 towards Sveg, but after 50 kilometres you take right in to road 296 towards Ytterhogdal. When you reach Ytterhogdal you enter road 45. You follow road 45 pass Åsarna. After 12 kilometres (7 miles) you reach Svenstavik. Here you take left at the gas station "OK" in to road 321. The sign says "Åre" and "Mattmar". After 56 kilometres (34 miles) you come to Hallen. Take left at the church. Follow the signs to Höglekardalen; it's 24 kilometres (15 miles).

You drive through Bydalen, Hovde and Höglekardalen. Just after Höglekardalen you reach a gigantic parking lot. Continue over the parking lot. The road narrows down and after 200 meters (650 feet, 220 yards) you reach a road bar. This is the place where we use to make an appointment and pick you up; it's a private road you see. Thereafter the journey continues for another 14 kilometres (8 miles) until we reach Hosjöbotten. The total length from Stockholm is 580 kilometres (360 miles)

With car from Frösö Airport in Östersund
The fastest way from Frösö Airport is to immediately take left and drive over the bridge "Rödöbron". After 20 kilometres (12 miles) you reach E14. Take left and drive towards Åre. After 18 kilometres (11 miles) you reach an enlighten crossing. Take left, the signs are pointing to Mora and Hallen. After 18 kilometres (11 miles) you reach Hallen. Take right at the church and follow the signs to Höglekardalen, it's 24 kilometres (15 miles). Then follow the directions from the last part of "With car from Stockholm".

With car from Östersund
Follow E14 north. After 48 kilometres (30 miles) you reach an enlighten crossing. Take left, the signs are pointing to Mora and Hallen. After 18 kilometres (11 miles) you reach Hallen. Take right at the church and follow the signs to Höglekardalen, it's 24 kilometres (15 miles). Then follow the directions from the last part of "With car from Stockholm".

With car from the west and the southwest of Sweden.
If you're departing from Gothenburg, the easiest way is you take the E20 to Örebro. In Örebro you take road 60 towards Borlänge. In Borlänge you take road 70 to Mora. In Mora you follow the directions to Orsa. From Orsa you follow road 45 until you pass Åsarna. After 12 kilometres (7 miles) you reach Svenstavik. Here you take left at the gas station "OK" in to road 321. The sign says "Åre" and "Mattmar". After 56 kilometres (34 miles) you come to Hallen. Take left at the church. Follow the signs to Höglekardalen; it's 24 kilometres (15 miles). Then follow the directions from the last part of "With car from Stockholm".

With car from Sundsvall
Follow E14 to Östersund. In the roundabout just before Brunflo you take left in to road 45 towards Svenstavik. 2 kilometres (~1 mile) after Fåker you turn right and follow the signs to Myrviken. (Be sure that you drive over the long bridge "Sannsundsbron".) In Myrviken you take to the right and after 30 kilometres (18 miles) you come to Hallen. At the church you take to the left and follow the signs to Höglekardalen, it's 24 kilometres (15 miles). Then follow the directions from the last part of "With car from Stockholm".
